Patna: The Bihar police has confiscated properties at the houses of 1,971 absconding criminals during a special drive, a senior police official said on Tuesday.

The confiscation of properties at the houses of these absconding criminals were done on Monday, the Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Headquarters, Ravindra Kumar said.

Aurangabad district topped the list of confiscation of properties of absconding criminals at 182 to be followed by 159 in Patna, 118 each in Muzaffarpur and Jamui districts, he said.

The confiscation drive will be carried out tomorrow as well, Kumar said.

The police had arrested about 18,000 criminals, both warranties and absconders during a special drive last month, the ADG said.
