Raipur: Protesting against recruitment of doctors from outside the state hundreds of BAMS and BHMS degree holder medical practitioners of the state are planning to hold one day strike on October 3.

They are angry over the fact that the government recruited doctors on 105 posts out of 139 in year 2008 from outside the state. Remarkably, more than 60 doctors have left their jobs after working for few months resulting into the posts being vacant once again.

The agitating doctors have accused the state government of sitting idle over recruitment of doctors and not filling posts from the waiting list. They said that no advertisements have been circulated by the PSC (Public Service Commission) for filling 475 vacant posts.

State president of Aurved Practitioners Association Dr Rakesh Mishra said that a dharna would be organised at Budhapara against state government’s move.
