Chandigarh: The Punjab government was committed to the development of infrastructure and would soon be completing the construction work of polytechnics and health centres, a state minister said on Sunday.

"The construction of five government polytechnics would be completed by March next year while the construction of multi storey parking at Ludhiana and residential complex on Dugri road is on advanced stage of completion," Punjab PWD Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon said.

The five buildings of polytechnic colleges are being constructed at Amritsar, Batala, Hoshiarpur, Khooni, Majra and Government work center at Rajpura, Patiala.

He informed that construction of 26 Community Health Centres would be completed within the stipulated time period. The under construction multi-storey car parking at District Administrative Complex in Ludhiana would be completed by the next month, Dhillon added.
