Chandigarh: The Punjab University (PU) has added another feather to its cap by establishing UGC Networking Resource Centre in its campus to promote research in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Punjab University, is the only pharmacy institute of the country selected by the Ministry of Human Resource Development for setting the resource centre that will help to find diagnosis for incurable diseases.

The Coordinator, UGC Training School, Dr Kanwaljeet Chopra informed that with the help of pharmaceutical sciences, DNA can be stored which will help to study the cause of diseases at molecular level. The Neuro-pharmological techniques will facilitate to trace cure for neuro disease like Alzheimer and other related ailments.
