Movie: Raaz 3

Director: Vikram Bhatt

Cast: Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Bipasha Basu

Ratings:

Just like some of us believe that there are two types of powers in the world i.e. the good one and the evil ones, the movie revolves around the same.

The story of Raaz 3 revolves around a newbie director Aditya (Emraan Hashmi), who is forced by an ageing actor  Shanaya (Bipasha Basu) to do black magic on a rising star Sanjana (Esha Gupta)  in return for the favours done by  Shanaya on Aditya , when he was struggling.

Now, due to jealousy towards Sanjana, who is also her half sister, Shanaya performs black magic on her to end her career.
The most striking feature of Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Raaz 3’, they would undoubtedly put their fingers on Shanaya Shekhar. Her devlish laughter and bloodshot eyes are the place where all the raaz resides.

The music and songs of the movie are quiet good but the sound track of Raaz 3 leaves a question mark on the kind of music chosen for the film.

Thumbs up: Vikram Bhatt’s technical work is commendable. Several scenes stand out among the plethora of enlarged insects and objects flying towards the audience; and the one where Sanjana is attacked by innumerable cockroaches deserves a special mention.Emraan Hashmi’s acting skills are way more convincing , and he manages to perform the Director-in-dilemma well enough – both when he is kissing and when he is not.Without a doubt we can say that Bipasha’s acting is extremely good and one major factor to attract the audience. The technical aspects such as 3D effects are commendably good. Bipasha in the title track is hot enough to fire your brains out.

Thumbs down: Esha performs way better than what Kangna did in ‘Raaz 2’, but Bipasha in the first one is undoubtedly the one who shines steadily among the trio of the damsels in distress.  Esha Gupta has taken her performance several notches higher, but at times is overshadowed by the others. The movie seems to lack somewhere where the elements of horror are concerned. The 3D effect is good but is not able to send chills down your spine.Esha Gupta has given her best shot, but being just one film old, she needs to polish her acting skills more. For a person who isn’t scared easily, ‘Raaz 3’ wouldn’t be able to do much.
