New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday chose to take a Metro and a taxi ride to reach Rohini in north Delhi to address a Youth Congress rally.

The Congress leader, who is one of the most highly protected persons in the country, boarded a Metro train at Race Course Road station near his official 12, Tughlak Road residence to reach Rohini West Metro Station where he waved down a radio cab to get to Japanese Park, the venue of the rally.
"I was near Rohini West Metro station when Rahulji hailed my cab," Shravan, a taxi driver with a prominent radio cab agency, said.
Rahul paid the taxi driver Rs 200 for a nearly three-kilometer ride to Japanese park.

"This was the easiest way to reach the venue," one of Rahul's associates said.
