New Delhi: After Congress President Sonia Gandhi kick-started the party's poll campaign from Mandi last week, Rahul Gandhi is visiting poll-bound Himachal Pradesh on October 31.

During his visit to the state on Wednesday, Rahul will address one public meeting each at Ghumarwin in Bilaspur district and at Banikhet (Dalhousie Assembly) in Chamba district.

Addressing a rally at Mandi on October 22, the Congress President had launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led government and accused it of not making any effort to take the benefits of Central schemes to the poor and needy in the state.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will also address a rally in the state.

The AICC is keen that Rahul addresses at least half a dozen public meetings in Himachal Pradesh, where the party is making a serious come-back bid under the leadership of party
veteran Virbhadra Singh.

Elections to the Himachal Pradesh Assembly are scheduled on November 4.
