The Yatra, from Kasargod to Thiruvananthapuram, which was flagged-off last month, has reached Alappuzha district and it would proceed to nearby Pathanamthitta district on Monday.
"Rahul Gandhi would join the padyatra tomorrow for some time," party sources said. He would arrive in Kochi and would proceed to Alappuzha, sources said.
In view of the Gandhi scion's visit, security has been tightened in the area, sources said.
The ‘Yuva Kerala Yatra’ highlighting slogans of ‘secularism and non-violent society,’ was inaugurated by KPCC president and state Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala.
