New Delhi: Prospects of Arunima Sinha, who lost one of her legs after allegedly being pushed off a train, to get a job with Railways on compassionate grounds hangs in balance after questions have been raised over her charge that she was thrown off a running train.

While Indian sports ministry is keeping mum on the issue, Railways is also avoiding any comment before the outcome of the investigation.

Arunima’s case had raised the political temperature in the country with both Central government and the state government getting into a rat race in announcing benefits for Arunima.

The Railway Ministry had even announced giving a job to Arunima. But now there is a general sense of feeling in the government circles that they showed a bit of haste in the case.
