The bottles, produced by Railway's PSU IRCTC, were sent with the help of the Air Force and through trains, a Railway spokesperson said on Wednesday.

He said that railways have also decided to send 50,000 water bottles daily to J&K.

He said Delhi Division of Northern Railway has also made special arrangements for people coming from the flood affected areas and for those who are visiting the state.

An exclusive waiting room has been earmarked for their use at the New Delhi station, he said.

Passengers can also contact the station manager or the deputy station manager for their journey.

Help desks have also been opened in Jammu, Udhampur and Katra, the spokesperson added.
