“I am amazed at the poise, grace, style and confidence level of these girls who don’t look like rookie ramp stutter. And also from their reply to the queries of the jury. Our Senorita will be different from her alter figure in the West,” the ‘Proloy’, ‘Kanamachi’ director said on the sidelines of the pageant organized by Lions Club International.

A pageant pro, Dimpy Bhagat said, “The answer of a girl of having been instilled the very essence of womanhood by her mom,” showed how they are rooted in their values, the sense of pride for being a woman while adapting to the global fashion.

One of the five Miss Senoritas, 2014, Priyadarshini Jha, a media professional, said all the five finalists were pageant winners as they all shared the same dreams – of aiming high up above the clouds, in the constellation.

Priyadarshini, who got Miss Senorita, 2014, beautiful hair crown, now plans to branch out to anchoring from reporting in a leading national daily.

Fashion designer Abhisek Dutta, one of the juries, said, “It is very difficult to differentiate among these girls, and I am amazed to see the change over in the confidence level of youngsters over years. Carrying yourself is the most important thing and they all do that with aplomb,”

Top notch producer Shrikant Mohta, basking in the glory of the dream run of Chander Pahar, Apur Panchali and Meghe Dhaka Tara in recent times, actor Ramanjit Kaur were among the jury.
