Jaipur: Rajasthan will soon join the list of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) producing states as a private company got success in exploring the pollution free gas in Ramgarh area of Jaisalmer district.

The Union government believes that Rajasthan will be in the position to supply CNG from October.
The Centre had given Deep Energy licence to explore the gas resources at Bankia block in the Ramgarh area. After the concerted efforts, the Company ultimately managed to explore the CNG resource.

Sources said 20, 000-30, 0000 standard cubic metre of gas per day can be explored from Bankia block. In terms of kilo calories, it comes to 6,000-7,000 per day. 
It is worth mentioning that the Centre gives the Companies license to explore the oil and gas. Accordingly the progress report has to be submitted to the Inspector General (Hydrocarbon) in the Union Oil and Gas Ministry.

Representative of Deep Energy Geetika said, “The Company has started commercial production and the supply of gas to the customers is likely to begin by October.”
