State Education Minister Kalicharan Saraf said that the government was considering setting up model schools from class 1 to 12 in gram panchayats in the state to upgrade the education system.

The minister further said that a survey was being conducted in all the schools to determine the status of facilities, infrastructure, number of students and teachers etc, so that required arrangements can be made for such schools.

The minister also called upon capable organizations and donors to contribute in improving education infrastructure of the state and adopt schools.

Minister's appeal got instant response and some of the donors present in the function announced to adopt about 60 schools of the state.

Earlier, the minister felicitated 43 donors at a function in the auditorium for their contribution in the education sector.
