Following complaints regarding "mass-scale" cheating in Mahadev College of Baytoo in Barmer district on Wednesday, Singh had sought a factual report on the matter from VC Kailash Sodhani, which was submitted to him on Thursday.

After going through the report, the Governor directed Sodhani to cancel the university's affiliation to the college and also asked him to lodge an FIR against its administration and the examination incharge.

Singh also asked the VC to change the examination centre to a government college and make arrangements to shift the students of this college to some other college, according to an official release issued here on Thursday night.

A flying squad on Wednesday caught the college students cheating at a mass-level during BA second year examination.

The governor also directed Barmer district collector to make sure that an FIR is registered against the college.
