Ahmedabad: In order to retain the crown in politically important state Gujarat, Chief Minister Narendra Modi has started massive campaign in the state, while the opposition Congress is trying hard to cash on anti-incumbency against the BJP government. Interestingly in this assembly polls, Rajasthan leaders are playing role of chief strategists in the every party whether it is the BJP or the Congress.

BJP MP Om Mathur will look after the poll management of the party, while Union Minister CP Joshi, the close aide of Rahul Gandhi has been entrusted with the task of handling Congress’s poll preparation in the state.

Both Gujarat and Rajasthan share similar culture and society that is why BJP deployed Om Mathur to oversee the poll preparation in the state. Mathur has been party in-charge of Gujarat for five years. Now he has been made special in-charge of the state.

Mathur shares good repo with party national vice president Purushottam Rupala, state party president RC Faldu. With the flagging off of Vivekananda Yuva Vikas Yatra, Mathur has taken charge of poll management.

On the other hand, the Congress has made CP Joshi as chairman of screening committee. Other Congress veteran of Rajasthan, Mohan Prakash was instrumental in satyagraha launched by the party to blunt Modi’s Sadbhavna Fast. Prakash is struggling hard to regain party’s traditional vote bank in the state.
