While expressing happiness and satisfaction over the win, Rajnath said the people of the country have given them a big responsibility and they would try their best to live up to their expectations.

Rajnath said though all the BJP workers put in lots of hard work during the election campaign but the main credit for the win goes to Modi.
Rajnath added the saffron party crossed all barriers to claim a comprehensive win.

He also thanked all the 25 allies of the National Democratic Alliance, saying they played a pivotal role in ensuring the BJP’s comprehensive win in the Lok Sabha elections.

While replying to a question over the shape and structure of Modi’s Cabinet, Rajnath said it is the Prime Minister’s prerogative to select his Cabinet of Ministers but all decisions regarding this would be taken after due consultation with everyone.

Rajnath further said the BJP will never allow someone to put a question mark on the party’s credibility and added that the new government would be formed after taking all the allies on board.

Rajnath also rejected assumptions regarding senior leaders’ discontentment regarding Modi’s leadership.

He added each and every leader is happily united under Modi’s leadership and there is no truth in any such baseless reports.

Rajnath said the people’s mandate will embark upon a new era in Indian politics, adding that the masses have put their faith in BJP’s good intentions.

Quoting former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s famous line ‘Andhera chatega, Sooraj ugega aur Kamal khilega’, Rajnath said the BJP’s lotus is shining in all corners of the country.

Hitting out at the rival parties, Rajnath said their opponents tried a lot to deviate the election campaign from their agenda of ‘good governance’ and ‘development’ to other trivial matters.

Rajnath added that the time has to come write India’ success story all over again while thanking all the polling agents of the BJP and other leaders.

He said the perception of the BJP in front of the masses has now changed as it is no more an urban party only. Rajnath added the BJP is now the party of farmers, underprivileged people, backwards castes, tribals, slum dwellers and everyone.

Giving a stern warning to party workers and leaders, Rajnath urged the excited BJP workers to maintain decorum while celebrating the party’s historic win and asked them not to say harsh words against anyone.
