Interacting with students, teachers and members of voluntary organisations at different events here, Rajnath, who is also the party candidate from Lucknow Lok Sabha seat, exuded confidence that BJP would definitely cross the majority mark of 272 seats in the polls.

He said the works of Modi were being appreciated not only in India, but as far as in US. Modi's Gujarat development model was not appreciated by BJP, but the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation headed by Congress president Sonia Gandhi had done so in 2008, he claimed.

The BJP chief said that Vajpayee government through its bold decisions and developmental achievements made the whole world acknowledge India's emergence as a superpower and made the country proud.
