New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and prominent lawyer Ram Jethmalani has made a revelation that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has endorsed his view that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi should be the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate for 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Earlier on Wednesday, the lawyer-turned-politician had said that he had written a letter to BJP president Nitin Gadkari demanding to declare Modi’s name as party's PM candidate for upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

According to Jethmalani, Modi is the best choice for the post and BJP should discuss Modi's candidature. He had said, "I do not think that the choice is difficult...I would want Narendra Modi whose integrity and administrative ability are not in doubt."

"He (Modi) has been a victim of diabolic propaganda directed to projecting him as an anti-minority bigot. This undeserved black spot is easy to erase. Every aspiring candidate should do some sincere introspection and discover his own disqualifications,” Jethamalani, a Rajya Sabha member had said.

However, RSS has not yet given any official statement confirming its support to Modi as Prime Ministerial candidate.
