The official trailer was released online on Monday evening by the director and the film's lead actors of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Deepika who is playing Leela in the film, said, "Leela is the female version of Ram, who is very vulnerable but emotionally strong."

The colourful Rajasthani backdrop is reminiscent of what he showed in his first big hit, 1999 movie "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam", but the lead pair is nowhere close to the simple romantic couple played by Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan.

Ranveer's character Ram and Deepika's character Leela look bold, courageous and ready to break rules for each other, but the rivalry between their societies play spoilsport.

Going by the trailer, one might think that ‘Ram Leela’ is on the similar lines of ‘Ishaqzaade’, but then it would be interesting to see the new twist and turns that will unleash on the screen when the movie comes out on November 2.

Directed and produced by Bhansali, the film is said to be an adaptation of Shakespeare's epic love story "Romeo and Juliet", set in violent times.
