Raipur: Despite global economic slowdown, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has claimed that the state is making rapid progress on economic as well as social fronts. He also said that Chhattisgarh would soon feature among the top 5 states of the country in the next 5 years.  

Raman Singh was addressing entrepreneurs in view of global investors meet to be held next month in the state capital Raipur.

He further said that Chhattisgarh has been maintaining double digit growth rate in domestic production for the last eight years. Apart from this, growth rate in the state was 11.49 percent during 2009-10 which was rated as the highest in the country and it went up to touch the mark of 11.57 percent in 2010-11, He added”.
