Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh sought support of the people of Chhattisgarh to effectively combat the menace of Naxalism in the state.  Hoisting the national Tricolour in the state capital, Raipur, the Chief Minister expressed confidence to defeat the left wing extremism.

Addressing the people at National Parade Ground, Chief Minister Raman Singh called the Naxalites as the elements inimical to the interests of the country and rejected the claims of the red ultras that they are fighting to protect the interests of the poor.

He asked the people to support the government in defeating the extremists. The Chief Minister also said that the government is offering jobs to the youths from tribal communities in the state police and other government departments to stop them from being misguided by the anti-national elements.

He said that Naxalites are working against the canons of the constitution and impeding the development of the country.
