Haridwar: After his aide Balakrishna, yoga guru Baba Ramdev is likely to face the heat for procuring passport with wrong details. It is believed that he has given the wrong information about his birth date and place. After 12 years, Ramdev has filed an affidavit in the passport office and has admitted his mistake.

However, even after not providing any new information to the passport office, he has received his new passport. Sources said, even after the government investigating agency has highlighted the flaws, it was avoided. Hence, the Investigative Bureau (IB) and Uttar Pradesh Police's Special Cell, Muzaffarnagar is probing into the matter. The passport officials of Raebareli, Dehradun along with the official who recommended for the tatkal quota for Ramdev’s passport are also under scanner.

The first passport was issued on August 31, 1994 to Ramdev under the registration number of R-626709 in the Bareilly Passport office where he had given his residence address as place Khatoli under Muzaffarnagar district and birth date as 16/11/1971.

The documents available with Danik Jagran reveals that Ramdev has again applied for the passport in 2006 by stating that he has given a wrong information about his birth place and birth date in his first application. In his new application for passport he has given his birth date as 10-1-71 and birth place as village Sadalipur, district Mahendergarh, Haryana.

He even gave wrong information about the name of his father. The name of his father has been given as Swami Shanker Dev but after the government inquiry it was found that his name was Ram Nivas Yadav.
