The NGO that focusses on girl trafficking felicitated Rani for her contribution to the cause through her film 'Mardaani'.

In the film, she played a feisty cop who journeys through the sleazy corridors of human trafficking to rescue a teenage girl. Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi will deliver the keynote speech at the fundraiser.

Hitan Mehta, executive director of the trust, says, "We are also looking forward to share the real and tangible impact that has only been made possible because of our supporters."

Last year, the event was attended by celebrity guests such as snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan, three-time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker and ambassadors including actor-comedian Sanjeev Bhaskar, senior journalist Mishal Husain and Gurinder Chadha.

An official from the trust informed Rani and Mukesh Ambani will join hands to raise funds for the disadvantaged in South Asia.

The event will particularly highlight the issue of abuse and violence against young girls and children.
