New Delhi: An Indian toddler is suffering from a rare disorder that has caused her head to swell to three times its usual size.

Roona Begum from Agartala is suffering from hydrocephalus - a build up of cerebrospinal fluid inside her skull, media reported.

Sufferers of the disease usually experience loss of coordination and speech and in long-term cases it can result in mental disability and death.

A treatment is available, in which the doctors drain the fluid but her father 26-year-old Abdul Rahman, earns less than 2-pound-a-day working in a brick factory and can't afford to pay for her to be treated privately.
