Dehradun: Union minister of state for agriculture Harish Rawat today urged Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna to provide land for opening up of three hospitals under the state Employees Insurance Corporation, a medical, dental and nursing college each in the state.

In a letter to Bahuguna, Rawat said due to unavailability of land the projects are pending for the past two years and the people are being deprived of the benefits of the projects sanctioned by the Centre.

Urging Bahuguna to provide the land at the earliest, Rawat said other governments were also wanted to set up these projects in their states and if it happens, the people of Uttarakhand would be deprived of getting the benefits of hospitals and medical colleges.
