Guntur, Jan 15 (Agencies): Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister B Dattatreya on Friday said the Centre should recall Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimham as he was "playing the role of a Chief Minister" by trying to save the State Government.

"The Governor had parleys with actor Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party and with Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) to ward off political crises caused by the Jagan factor and save the N Kiran Kumar Reddy Government," Dattatreya told reporters.

"He is playing the role of a Chief Minister which is not envisaged in the Indian constitution," he alleged.

Lashing out at the State Congress, Dattatreya alleged that the party was so occupied with its internal crisis that issues like price-rise and woes of rain-hit farmers had taken a backseat for it.
