New Delhi: Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday visited the shrine of the 14th century Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya and prayed for a "harmonious relationship" between India and Pakistan.

"I prayed to Allah for harmonious and peaceful relationships between both countries and Indian government's assistance to Pakistan in taking action against the terrorists," Malik told reporters after offering prayers at the shrine.

Wearing a garland of red roses, Malik was escorted to the shrine amid a crowd of media persons and common people eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of him.

"I had decided whenever I will come to Delhi, I will visit this dargah. My father used to come here," he said.
