New Delhi: Angry relatives of those who have gone missing in flood-ravaged Uttarakhand blocked roads outside Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun on Thursday, protesting against alleged inadequate measures by the state government.

The protestors alleged that they are not getting any information about missing people. They also added that the government has failed to provide adequate measures for that.

Meanwhile, a comprehensive multi-agency rescue and relief operation has been put in place in flood-hit state in order to evacuate people from the worst-hit Kedarnath town and other areas. The death toll is feared to be in thousands.
Fifty thousand people were still said to be stranded in various parts of the state that was hit by cloudburst and floods in the upper reaches which has left thousands of people homeless.

According to an estimate, close to 1,100 small and big roads in the state have been damaged and many of them have been washed away at several places.
