Gwalior: If you are planning to purchase a land in the city but don’t know whether the land is a disputed site or not, Revenue Department is there to solve your problem.

In the wake of increasing number of land related disputes, Gwalior Collector, P Narahari has worked upon a new system. The district administration will provide you entire information in its status report. Whether the land has been leased or is there any court case running in the Revenue Court against it will become clear from the list.

Also whether the land area comes under any illegal colony or within any border or whether it can be re-sold or not will be made public. Report also mentions several acquisition related criteria.

It will take the government 15 days to provide information. For this, the person concerned has to pay a nominal amount of fee. And if you fail to get the desired information, 75 percent of the money will be returned.
