New Delhi: Humiliating defeat in the Jamshedpur by poll mingled with the rising dissatisfaction in cadres against Chief Minister Arjun Munda, has prompted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) top brass to hold the first review meeting in Jharkhand in a span of over three months.

Simultaneously, the increasing political stature of BJP rebel and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi has increased to the miseries of the saffron party.

After the BJP review meeting, possibilities of a large scale reshuffle both in the state government and the party state unit cannot be ruled out. With their tradition vote bank drifting towards Marandi and his party, the BJP is likely to take some stern action to put the house in order.

The situation became even worse for Munda, as senior state leaders of BJP made a string of complaints against him with party Central leadership. After having a blind faith in Munda for a long period, BJP has decided to take swift efforts to ameliorate the situation.

Jharkhand’s state president of BJP, Dineshanand Goswami is in an equally embarrassing situation. Goswami was not only defeated in the Jamshedpur by election but he even lost his deposit. Subsequently, several questions have been raised over the leadership of Goswami.

In wake of Goswami’s defeat in the by poll, some BJP leaders have also raised the demand to remove him from the party portfolio.
