Patna: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has issued a chargesheet against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government for corruption and spurt in criminal activities.

In a book titled as ‘Charge Sheet’ the RJD has accused the NDA for embezzlement of Rs 67,000 crore from the state exchequer. To support the allegations, the RJD mentioned that there is no record of subsidy on diesel given to famine affected farmers. While organic fertilizer was purchased at double the price from other states and poor quality seeds were supplied to farmers, the RJD alleged.

Slamming the Nitish Kumar government, the RJD stated that there has been 50 percent spurt in abduction cases. At least 10 cases of kidnapping are recorded each day. More so, atrocities against women have also increased.

The RJD alleged the ruling party in the state for misappropriation of funds. It said that instead of demanding quotations from companies for computerization of the secretariat, the government directly gave contract to Beltron and swindled away Rs 1700 crores.
