Patna: Opposition RJD on Monday alleged in Bihar Legislative Council that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and senior JD (U) leader Shivanand Tiwari took money in the fodder scam.

Displaying banners and placards, nine RJD MLCs led by Leader of Opposition Gulam Gaus entered the legislative council shouting slogans against Kumar and Tiwari alleging that the duo had taken bribe in the fodder scam.

The opposition members also demanded that a probe be held against the two leaders in the fodder scam and urged Chairperson Tarakant Jha to admit an adjournment motion for debate in the council which the latter rejected.

Jha appealed to the opposition members to stop creating noisy scenes in the House and allow the proceedings to go on.

Ruling benches, led by Animal Husbandry and Fisheries minister Giriraj Singh, shouted back at the opposition before the Chairman intervened to resume business of the legislative council.

Neither the Chief Minister nor Tiwari have reacted to the allegations.
