"I welcome Tyagi into the party. It is a good thing to happen as the people are continuing to join the party," Singh said after admitting him in the party.

The RLD leader had earlier unsuccessfully contested the elections from Uttar Pradesh.

However, Tyagi said he has not joined the BJP for seeking any ticket. "I have expressed my faith in BJP without any condition," he said.

Elections in UP are crucial for BJP as its results hold key to the formation of the next government at the centre.

On Monday, farmer leader Krishna Vir Chaudhary along with his supporters has joined BJP.
