Inaugurating a bailey bridge and laying the foundation stone of Patuk ADC headquarters in remote Kurung Kumey district recently, Mein said that a holistic planning is needed for developing infrastructure and communication network for speedy development, official sources said in Itanagar.

"As planning minister, I have to replace short term planning by long term one for bringing the much needed all-round development in tune with the policy of the state government.

While the bridge funded by NABARD and constructed by the PWD would link Parsiparlo, Damin and Pipsorang circles with district headquarters Koloriang, the far-flung inhabitation with 250 population will be linked by PMGSY road as the government is committed to provide connectivity to all far-flung areas of the state," he said.

Responding to a memorandum, Mein assured to take up with the Cabinet to make the ADC headquarter independent considering its sensitive location along China border.

He also assured to build road from Koloriang bridge point to Damin via Parsiparlo (phase-II) under rural infrastructure development fund (RIDF) scheme with NABARD loan, sources added.
