New Delhi: Amid swirling political dust over Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law, Robert Vadra, a website has now added a row over the allegations made by Arvind Kejriwal. According to the website named “Celebrity Net worth’ Robert Vadra has an estimated property worth a staggering USD 2.1 Billion that is around 11 thousand crore in Indian rupees. The website also says that Vadra amassed this property after getting married to Priyanka Gandhi.

This drives people to doubt that somewhere Robert Vadra has used the political influence of his mother in law and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to generate these properties. Vadra met Priyanka Gandhi at the house of a mutual friend and in 1997; they were married making Vadra a part of the Gandhi family. Thereafter, Robert Vadra’s property witnessed a multi fold increase.

Vadra has said on several occasions that he does not interfere in Priyanka Gandhi or his mother in law Sonia Gandhi’s work.  He focuses only on his business.

Recently Arvind Kejriwal alleged irregularities in the unsecured loans received by Robert Vadra from construction giant DLF and accumulating property worth crores of Rupees in Delhi NCR region. According to the allegations Vadra has also amassed huge properties in Rajasthan and Haryana.

Vadra is also the sole owner of Sky Light Hospitality Pvt Ltd, having his mother Maureen as a partner. Furthermore he owns 20 percent of Unitech, which was in the centre of the high profile 2G spectrum scam.

Robert Vadra’s family had been in controversies since he got married to Priyanka Gandhi. It is well known fact that Robert’s father Rajendra Vadra was not at all happy with his son’s decision to marry Priyanka. Rajinder’s death in 2009 was shrouded in mystery while Robert’s sister, Michelle, died in a car accident in 2001. Later his older brother, Richard, was found dead at his home in 2003.
