Make up is done to highlight the good features of your face. But sometimes overdoing of it may spoil your entire look. When it comes to sporting a traditional Indian look, bindi plays a pivotal role. Bindi is all time fashion statement. It suits well with saris as it completes your traditional look. But the art of sporting big bindi with a saree is not so easy. Sometimes even our onscreen divas do blunders when it comes to teaming up bindi with a traditional wear. Keeping this in mind here make-up expert Meenakhshi Dutta offers few tips. Before
experimenting with a big bindi follow these do’s and don’ts .
Do it like Riya Sen
Hair: For a hairstyle like Ria, comb your hair gently after washing it. Making a side parting keep your hair loosely held on shoulders.
Face: Apply tinted moisturizer evenly on face after washing it. In order to couture your cheek bones apply pink shade blusher. Put on a light layer of blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend up and back toward your hair line. Little make-up and a simple red bindi on fore- head, you are ready to scorch the floor.
Eyes: Apply light peach eye-shadow and brush off extra powder. In order to give eyes a soft look, put on a thin coat of black eye-liner. Then apply kajal on lower eye-lid from centre to outer corner of eyes. Apply transparent mascara on eye lashes.
Lips: A coat of creamy matt rosy pink lipstick, and you are set to steal the limelight.
Big no for Celina Jaitley look:
Face: Celina has overdone with her make-up. The colour of her neck and face appears different as she puts on excessive make-up on face. Besides, she has used shimmer powder all over her face which has
given her a mature look. Bronze shade blusher makes her appear more mature.
Eyes: Don’t match eye shadow with your clothes. If you have blue eyes, do eye make-up very carefully. Don’t go for excessive kajal or eye make-up like the way Celina has done, it will spoil your look.
Lips: Combining shimmer make-up with natural lip gloss, is a big no-no. We do make-up to accentuate our good features. But in spite of highlighting her good attributes of her face, Celina’s make-up makes her appear unnatural.
Important tips:
While you are wearing a sheer fabric or light colour dresses avoid shimmer make-up. Be selective about your eye and lip make-up. Eye make-up and lipstick should complement each other.
