New Delhi: The work of setting up AIIMS- II, in Badsha village, is all set to start after a wait of over three years at Badsha village in Jhajjar district. Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is slated to lay foundation stone of an Outreach Out Patient Department (OOPD).

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda would also be present on the occasion.

Three years ago, the Centre had decided to set up an AIIMS like institute in the national capital region (NCR). The project will entail an investment of about Rs 1,000 crore

The AIIMS-II campus would house National Cancer Institute, OPD complex, Centre for Geriatrics, 500 bedded General Hospital and a number of other specialty centres. A fully air-conditioned OOPD has been planned to handle about 1000 patients per day.
