Dehri-On-Sone: In a major success, the Rohtas police arrested six Naxals and busted an illegal arms factory in a special combing operation carried out on Wednesday night in Kamur hills which is known for red corridor of left wing extremists. Cobra Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under the leadership of Superintendent of Police (SP) Manu Maharaj destroyed the illegal factory.

Several illegal weapons and ammunition were recovered during the raid. An automatic US rifle, seven countrymade pistols were recovered from the possession of the arrested naxals.

The naxals were running a mini gun factory in the Suarmanwa forest near the Bihar-Uttar Pradesh border. For the past one decade, Suarmanwa forest and Yadunathpur forest have acted a hideout for the Naxals.

They are facing problem in buying weapons, therefore this illegal firearms factory was set up.

The arrested naxals include Jagdish Chero, Muni Chero, Upendra Chero, Sitaram Chero, Nandji Vishwakarma and Uday Kumar.

Jagdish Chero is the sub zonal commander of Sone-Ganga Vindhyachal zone. Jagadish was wanted in connection of several naxal operrations including attack on SP entourage.
