“Project Charaka is another step forward in the long list of CSR Projects of RSP,” said RSP’s CEO G S Prasad at the project’s inauguration at Ispat General Hospital (IGH) on Monday.

RSP, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, is changing the lives of many poor, underprivileged and needy people through a number of initiatives, he said.

Project Charaka, an initiative of Surgical Department of IGH with the help of CSR Department, aims at providing free surgical treatment to patients detected with various problems in different health camps organised by Rourkela Steel Plant in peripheral villages and at ISPAT Sanjeevani Kalyan Chikitsalaya.
“IGH has a long reach and has remained as the lifeline of people living in the region since its existence,” Prasad added.
