Rourkela: Two persons have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of a youth in Chhend area of the steel city last week, police said on Monday.

Three persons were involved in the alleged murder of Chintamani Nayak at Kalinga Vihar in Chhend area on June 29 due to suspected business rivalry, they said.

“We have arrested two persons - Subrat Tarai and Santosh Nayak - while another one is at large”, Superintendent of Police Himansu Lal said.

According to the victim's brother, Indramani, on the day of the incident the deceased was called out of his residence by the trio and later his body was found near a culvert with his throat slit.

The deceased and the accused had business links and the murder was suspected to have been committed over financial matter, sources said.
