New Delhi: In a shocking incident, two Railway Protection Special Force (RPF) jawans allegedly raped a 20 year old passenger at New Delhi Railway Station on late Tuesday night. The jawans lured the girl into getting her an accommodation in the International Tourist Bureau and carried out the shameful act.

Meanwhile, the Railway police has registered a case of rape and arrested both the accused after the medical tests confirmed rape.

According to a senior police officer, one of the accused Pintu Singh, 24, is a constable of Railway Protection Special Force and was staying with a colleague (another accused) Hawan Pratap Singh, 21, in Tilak Nagar for some time.

The victim, who is a resident of Vishnu Garden, had arrived with her sister at New Delhi Station late on Tuesday night. Since it was late, the duo decided to stay at the station and wait for morning before heading home. The girls kept their luggage in the clock room and the younger sister headed to look for a hotel in Paharganj.

Meanwhile, at 12 A.M, the girl was volunteered by both the accused to accommodate her in a room of International Tourist Bureau. The accused took her to room no. 201 of second floor and raped her. Later, the girls lodged a complaint with the Railway Police.

The PRO of Northern Railway has confirmed the incident. According to him, three of them had been seen entering the room in a CCTV footage installed outside the room. The footage has been given to police and the investigation is on.
