Chandigarh: The state government has released a grant of 35.72 crore to execute development works in 74 Municipal councils and committees falling under 20 districts of the state.

Rs 177 lakh has been released for carrying out development works in Municipal areas of Ambala district alone.

Also, the state government has approved Rs 93.83 lakh for Bhiwani , Rs 584.28 lakh for Faridabad , Rs 33.15 lakh for Fatehabad, Rs 210.46 lakh to Gurgaon Municipal Corporation and Rs 184.81 lakh for Hisar Municipal Corporations.

Apart from this, the state government has approved a grant of 70.20 for Jhajjhar  , Rs 75.37 lakh for Jind, Rs 64.92 lakh for Kaithal , Rs 197.02 lakh to Karnal Municipal Corporation, Rs 67.96 for Thanesar, Rs 9.83 lakh for Firojpur Jhirka in Mewat District, Rs 13.28 lakh for Mahendragarh District and Rs 111.64 lakh has been approved to Panchkula Municipal Corporation.

Rs 188.45 lakh has been approved for Panipat Municipal Corporation, Rs 55.91 lakh to Rewari , Rs 212.95 lakh to Rohtak , Rs 88.68 to Sirsa , Rs 124.07 lakh to Sonipat while Rs 209 lakh has been approved to Yamunanagar Municipal Corpoartions.
