Ujjain:The Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta on Tuesday detected assets worth Rs 50 crore from SK Palash, a Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) posted at Ratlam, in simultaneous raids at his residences in Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch and Bhopal.

According to Lokayukta deputy superintendent of police OP Sagori, the raids at DFO, Palash’s residences yielded Rs 20 lakh cash and gold jewellery worth Rs 50 lakh till reports last came in, adding that the figure could be higher as the raids were still on.

DSP Saroria further said that cash in the range of 15-20 lakh including jewellery worth 30-40 lakh were recovered during the raids.

Besides owning land worth crores in the above four cities, police also found a petrol pump in the name of his nephew and a gas agency in his wife's name.
