New Delhi: The CBI on Monday filed an FIR against officials of Nation Museum for their alleged involvement in the irregularities in maintenance and cleaning of the preserved artifacts and other objects of archaeological importance leading to a total loss of Rs 74 lakh.

The CBI sources claimed that between 2002 and 2005, the then officials of the museum had unfairly approved bid for maintenance to a private firm Pacwell & Company leading to the huge loss.

An FIR has been filed against the members of the private firm and museum officials including the then Director U Das, curator KKS Devariya and JE Davson, area official KR Bamhaniya and administrative officer Kameshwar Mishra.

“No arrest has been made so far but vital documents proving alleged irregularities have been seized during the raids at the premises of the officials of the private firm and the museum,” sources from the CBI claimed.
