New Delhi: Terming the remarks of Home Minister Shushilkumar Shinde over RSS-BJP link in Samjhauta Express blast as irresponsible, RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav has demanded immediate apology from the Congress leader.

“The Congress leader has made such an irresponsible statement at a time when the matter is under probe. It’s totally unwarranted and he must make a public apology for the same,” said Madhav.

Expressing wrath on the micro-blogging site Twitter, Madhav said, “Today Jamaat-ud-Dawa, LeT and other terror outfits have congratulated Shinde. Now he has become darling of real terrorists. It is he who is helping our enemies by such statements.”

Meanwhile, Shinde on Sunday made his stand clear saying that the media has raised this issue several times and there was nothing new he said during the Chintan Shivir.

"This is the saffron terrorism that I have talked about. It is the same thing and nothing new. It has come in the media several times," the Home Minister said.

Taking on Shinde further, Madhav tweeted, “The Union Minister says that whatever he said about Hindu terror was reported in media. Then he should be a news reader and not the Home Minister of the country.”
