Forex dealers said gains in other currencies against the American unit in the overseas market also supported the rupee. The domestic currency had gained 10 paise to close at 62.04 against the dollar in Friday's trade amid gains in local stocks.

Meanwhile, the 30-share BSE Sensex rose by 104.82 points, or 0.50 percent, to 21,184.54 in the morning trade on Monday.
