Los Angeles: British actor Russell Brand, who was initially invited to 2012 People's Choice Awards along with his wife Katy Perry, reportedly is no longer on the guest list of the upcoming event.
The 32-year-old comedian, who has filed for divorce from Perry, has been excluded to avoid confrontation with the 'One That Got Away' singer who is confirmed to make an appearance,
as reported.
"It will be Katy's big night, a prelude to the Grammys, and now Russell has been strangely left off the list of attendees for the high-profile event. It was always going to be awkward for organizers in any case after their shock decision to split. But in order to avoid any awkwardness or confrontation Russ is no longer on the list," a source said.
Perry has got seven nominations - five in music, one in movie as a contender for Favorite Animated Movie Voice in 'The Smurfs' and the seventh in TV as one of the Favourite TV Guest Star nominees.
