New Delhi: Narendra Damodarbhai Modi is undoubtedly the most preferred face for the Prime Ministerial post as per the BJP workers are concerned but there are several other sections of the society that have joined the “Modi for PM” chorus.

In order to mobilise support for projecting Modi as the next Prime Ministerial candidate, the saints associated with Vishwa Hindu Parishad have convened a meeting on February 7 in Allahabad.

Notably, the newly elected BJP president Rajnath Singh is also expected to meet these saints at Maha Kumbh on February 6.  Hindu saints and related organisations have been discussing Modi’s candidature for PM since last two years.

These saints have gathered here on the auspicious occasion of ‘Maha Kumbh’. The saints are of the view that Hindu religion and culture can be protected only under the leadership of Narendra Modi.

A major section of Hindu saints have in fact asked RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat to back Modi as BJP’s Prime ministerial candidate.

Meanwhile, a major section of BJP, including senior leaders like Yashwant Sinha and Ram Jethmalani are continuously lobbying for Narendra Modi’s candidature for Prime Ministerial post.
