Chicken tikka is a very popular dish all over India and other countries. It is eaten as a starter or with the main meal. Marinated in thick yogurt, cream and spices this creamy chicken recipe is really irresistible. Soft pieces of chicken with a creamy texture will definitely knock your socks off.
Ingredients for Murg Malai Tikka and Chilli Flakes
1. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
2. ½ teaspoon salt
3. 50 gm chilli flakes
4. 310 gms boneless chicken pieces of 2 cm each
5. 2 tablespoon fresh yogurt
6. 2 tablespoon double cream
7. 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
8. 3 small cardamom seeds
9. 30 gms butter
10. ½ teaspoon crushed cumin
11. ½ teaspoon grated nutmeg (jaifal)
12. 2 finely chopped green chillies
13. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
14. 2 tablespoon finely grated cheese
How to make Murg Malai Tikka and Chilli Flakes?
Step 1: Rub lime juice on the chicken pieces, add salt and keep aside.
Step 2: Blend yogurt, half cup butter, cream, ginger-garlic paste, cardamom, cumin, nutmeg, oil and cheese together.
Step 3: Prepare a thick paste and marinate the chicken pieces with this.
Step 4: Leave the marinated chicken in refrigerator for an hour.
Step 5: Take out and cook in tandoor for 15 minutes. Add melted butter while cooking.
Step 6: Spread chilli flakes on it and serve it hot with green chutney and chopped onion pieces.
Note: Malai Tikka Kabab is little different from the usual orange hued Chicken Tikka due to the usage of cheese.
