Are women indifferent to sexual relationship? Absolutely not, this is what a new research says. According to the report, women crave more for sexual intercourse as compared to men. This research busts all the age-old myths related to women. The research surprisingly showed that men after marriage are more likely to report being happy, while women are more likely to say that they are satisfied with sex lives. Frequent kissing or cuddling also predicted happiness in the relationship for men, but not for women.

The study is to find the main factor which inspires the couple to live longer together. According to the Indiana University study, man who give kisses and hugs to his wife are happier than other men. About 1000 of couples from Japan, US, Brazil, Germany and Spain participated in this research. They were of age group of 40 to 70 years. The result also says that Japanese and Brazilian women are more satisfied in sexual activity than American women.

Julia Haimen lead researcher of the study said, it is assumed that the interest of sexual desire increases in women after few years of their marriage because till that period somehow they get rid of their responsibilities.

They are busy with raising the children in their early ages. Haimen said that the result was shocking as usual perception is that women have low libido and they take little interest in any sexual activities.

Perceptions are changing now

Psychiatrist Dr Bhaagrani Kalra said, “The truth is that when women get convinced with men only then they make any sexual relationship but this doesn’t mean that they have low libido. In fact, they are more romantic than men. The reason of indifference to sex in women lies in their upbringing. However, sex is like taboo for our Indian culture and people are not comfortable to discuss on this matter. Specially, girls are warned for their personal hygiene in their initial age. That is why sex is like havoc for them. Other reason is that the tradition of joint family still persists in India. In joint family, there are several pressures on the girl child. And after the marriage, she bounded with relations like wife, lover, daughter-in law, aunt and many more. Their natural desires get suppressed under their responsibilities. Amidst of their all responsibilities their sexual desire gets totally suppressed.

Interesting sex life at the age of 40

There are so many researches done on male-female relationship especially on sexual relationship. 2-3 years ago a health magazine revealed that sexual life gets spicier in women at the age of their 40’s. The stability in life comes after the age of 40 years in today’s lifestyle. After 40, individual career and financial condition become sound and they have fewer responsibilities at that time. That is why people of this age feel mental satisfaction.

Dr. Kalra said that life after 10-15 years of marriage is more soothing for women. They feel more freedom and relaxed which attract them towards sexual activity. In their initial period of marriage, they are busy to make coordination between their husbands’ mentality and emotion. But, physical coordination will take more time to flourish. But they are happy at the middle age of their life. Now, they don’t hesitate to be active in sexual activity despite of menopause.

Role of male partner is important

There are various perceptions about role of male partner in sexual encounter. Software engineer, Gauri said, “Why after 15 years of marriage, we are still enjoying our life?” They are newly wedded couple. Both are working in the same field. Gauri said, “Ours is an arranged marriage but people think that we did love marriage. Reason is that, my husband respects me a lot. He makes me feel that how important I am in his life? Our marriage was very simple and performed without dowry. My husband gifted me collage pictures of my childhood days and said that he is lucky to have me. Even I don’t know when I got infatuated with him. It is only eight months of our marriage but it seems that I know him for many years. Gauri’s conversation was strong enough to break our myth of typical Indian egoistic male. It’s better that in today’s era, girls and boys understand each other and they are trying to cooperate with each other. If girls’ responsibilities are fifty-fifty in every part of life, why not in sexual activity. Slowly but surely society keeps changing its forms. New generation guys are more kind towards their lady loves. They respect their individuality. May be that is why their sexual coordination becomes stronger and balanced.
